Me Irish nickname is Tudy...Land of Erin!!

I am not just a harpist...ha ha...I teach Tradition Irish Music at Dusty Strings Music School where I am in instructor of Irish flute, pennywhistle, and Irish harp. (Using my nickname, Tudy) We have a special band, Land of Erin, that played for the opening of the 31st Dusty Strings Holiday Open House.  That's me on pennywhistle throwing off a few polkas with the gang!  Land of Erin is available for weddings, receptions, parties and special occasions!!

Boxing Day 2018 Romantic Wedding!!

I met two of the nicest people in the world at the Dusty Strings Open House.  A few days later we met in my living room for a wedding consultation.  The groom joined us via Skype while delivering a baby at Highline Hospital!  This was a very romantic couple, and a very warm and friendly wedding!

Ardeidra and Daren, Spectacular!!

Arneidra brought the house down with her surprise song "I'm Ready for Love." She performed from the balcony right before her bridal entrance!  Not only was it a professional quality rendition, it was heartfelt and left not a dry eye.  Imagine the love and courage it takes to sing at your own wedding!!   The ceremony ended with the jumping of the broom.

At a time when slaves were considered property and not permitted to get married, "Jumping the Broom" was a way for African-American couples to make a statement to their community about their relationship.  The broom represented their new life together.  The couple would hold hands and jump over the broom, symbolically jumping into their new life!
